The DSS short down jacket brings vintage 1970s style into the modern era. Reconstructed from a rare 1970s RMFC vintage, this model features a unique collar design that can be styled as either a collar or a stand collar, offering versatile wear options. The short silhouette is favored by riders as it allows unrestricted movement without clinging to the body, making it comfortable for active use.
The yoke is made from a single piece of cowhide leather tanned with tannin to preserve its natural texture, enhanced with chrome tanning for durability. The leather develops a rich patina over time, adding character with wear.
Both the outer fabric and lining use 70 denier nylon taffeta. RMFC’s specially developed three-layer structure combines the vintage nylon taffeta feel with lightweight durability and excellent insulation. This makes the jacket suitable for everyday wear as well as outdoor activities.
The filling is high-quality European water repellent down (90% down, 10% feather, 700FP). Treated for water repellency, it maintains warmth even in rain or snow. This piece balances essential functionality with comfort for cold seasons.

Due to the nature of down feathers, some feather leakage may occur as breathability is necessary.
If feathers come through the fabric, do not pull them out forcibly. Instead, gently push them back inside from the reverse side.
Products with Leather
This product uses natural leather with “natural marks,” preserving the material’s unique texture.
Color variations, scratches, and wrinkles may appear and are characteristics of genuine leather, adding to its charm.
Edges of leather parts may slightly lift as part of the design.
If the leather feels dry or stiff, we recommend using leather care cream to maintain softness and extend its life.
